FAQ

About the Tour Experience

How are your tours different from others in Prague?

Unlike large group tours, my experiences are fully private and personalized. You get a local’s perspective, tailored to your interests and pace. I blend top sights with hidden gems, stories, and real-life local culture — so you’ll leave with more than just photos. You’ll take home a real connection to Prague.

A private tour in Prague means flexibility, comfort, and a truly personal experience. No rushing, no strangers — just you and your group, exploring with a local guide who tailors everything to your pace and interests. You’ll get to ask questions, dive deeper, and enjoy a tour that feels more like a conversation than a lecture.

The Private Icons & Hidden Gems Tour is mainly exterior, focusing on sights, views, and street-level exploration. The Private Prague Castle Tour includes interior access to key castle sites (entry included). If you’d like to explore other interiors — like synagogues or museums — I can customize your tour to include those.

All my tours are led at a comfortable, relaxed pace, with plenty of stops to enjoy the views, take photos, grab a coffee, or rest.

  • The Private Icons & Hidden Gems Tour covers approximately 3 miles (5 km).

  • The Private Prague Castle Tour is a gentler route, covering about 1.5 miles (2.5 km), including interior visits.

  • For the Private Tailor-Made Prague Tour, the distance depends on how much time you book (2, 3, or 4 hours) and the pace you prefer during the tour.

If you have any mobility concerns, just let me know — I’m always happy to adapt the route and pace to make your experience enjoyable and stress-free.

All my tours are fully private — the group size is up to you. For the best experience, I recommend keeping the group to 12 people or fewer, so you can ask questions, engage fully, and enjoy an intimate, relaxed connection to the city.

Yes! Prague is beautiful in all seasons, and my tours run rain or shine. If the weather isn’t ideal, I’ll adjust the route to make it as comfortable as possible. I always recommend bringing an umbrella or raincoat just in case, and in colder months, dressing in layers to stay warm.

Customization & Personalization

Can you tailor the tour to our specific interests (e.g., history, architecture, food, Jewish heritage, photography)?

Can you tailor the tour to our specific interests (e.g., history, architecture, food, Jewish heritage, photography)?
Absolutely! Every traveler is unique, and I love making each tour personal and meaningful. Whether you’re passionate about history, architecture, photography, hidden gems, or local cuisine, I can tailor the experience to focus on what excites you most. Just let me know your preferences when booking!

It depends on how deeply you’d like to experience the city. If your goal is to truly connect with Prague, I recommend two half-day tours (4 hours each) across two days. This gives us time to explore key sites, local neighborhoods, and hidden gems — all at a comfortable, relaxed pace.

If you’re short on time, consider booking at least 3–4 hours, so we can go beyond the surface and still create an authentic local experience. The more time we spend, the deeper your connection to the city will be — and the more meaningful the tour becomes.

I’m happy to help you choose the right format based on your interests and schedule.

Yes! Since these are private tours, you can choose the start time that works best for you. I also offer sunrise tours for early risers — a magical way to enjoy Prague in the peaceful morning light, before the city wakes up.

My tours are perfect for both first-time visitors and returning travelers! If it’s your first visit, I’ll ensure you see the must-see highlights, while also giving you a local’s perspective. If you’ve been before, I can focus on hidden gems, unique experiences, and cultural insights that go beyond the typical tourist routes.

Logistics & Meeting Point

Where do we meet for the tour? Can you pick us up from our hotel?

Yes! Since all my tours are private, you choose the meeting point. I can meet you at your hotel and walk with you to the city center. If your accommodation is further out, we’ll travel together by tram — included in the tour — just like locals do.

We’ll agree on a meeting point in advance (usually your hotel lobby). You’ll also find my photo on the “About” page so you’ll recognize me right away. And of course, I’ll greet you with a big smile!

Yes, of course! My tours are designed to be enjoyable and relaxed. We’ll stop for coffee, snacks, or restroom breaks whenever you need — just let me know. There’s no rush, and your comfort always comes first.

No stress — I’ll wait for you at the agreed meeting point. Please keep in mind that delays will shorten the total tour time, as I often have another private tour scheduled after yours.

Most of my tours are walking experiences, as Prague is best explored on foot. That said, we can include tram rides if it makes sense for the route — and many guests enjoy the chance to ride like locals

Additional Services & Local Insights

Do you provide a list of recommendations for things to do in Prague after the tour?

Yes! After the tour, I’ll send you a follow-up email with handpicked recommendations — restaurants, cafés, hidden spots, and cultural tips — so you can keep exploring Prague like a local for the rest of your stay.

Great question! Czechs are warm and welcoming, but we tend to be a bit reserved at first—don’t mistake this for unfriendliness! A simple „Děkuji“ (thank you) or „Dobrý den“ (good day) goes a long way in showing respect.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

✔️ Tipping – It’s customary to round up the bill or tip around 10% in restaurants. Service is more relaxed here, so don’t be surprised if you have to ask for the check.
✔️ Quiet & Respectful – Czechs value personal space and a quieter demeanor in public places, especially on public transport.
✔️ Cash is Still Common – Many places accept cards, but smaller cafés, markets, and some traditional restaurants still prefer cash (Czech koruna).
✔️ Beer Culture – Beer is a big part of Czech culture, and it’s common to cheers with eye contact and say „Na zdraví!“ (To your health!) before taking a sip.

Don’t worry—I’ll be happy to share more tips along the way so you can experience Prague like a local! 😊
